Especially made for port authorities, port
facilities and international operating terminals
Is the ISPS code still a coded message for you?
In recent years, terrorist attacks and the continuing threat of terrorism around the world have made it clear that there are no 'safe havens' anywhere. In response, the IMO (International Maritime Organisation) has formulated the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS code). The ISPS code is intended to provide improved protection from terrorist attacks for all port facilities receiving seagoing ships larger than 500 Gross Ton on international routes.
Uniform interpretation and application of the ISPS code
The Port Facility Security Toolkit provides port facilities with a risk assessment, an Action Plan and a Port Facility Security Plan, all within a limited period of time. Another important benefit is that the ISPS code is interpreted and applied uniformly and consistently for all port facilities using the Port Facility Security Toolkit. This simplifies supervision of compliance by the designated authority as well as reviewing and auditing the plans.
The Toolkit includes:
Self Risk Assessment (check with >400 topics from ISPS Code)
Automated Gap-Analysis (results from risk assessment benchmarked with ISPS Code in Report "Action Plan")
Automated Security Plan (description on how all security topics are organised on the specific terminal in report "Security Plan")
Procedure Format security level 1,2 & 3 (25-page sample of all necessary procedures)
TRAM - Threat & Risk Analysis Matrix (17 scenarios with risk, vulnerability and score)
The most important benefits provided by the Port Facility Security Toolkit:
User-friendly web-enabled software tool.
Uniform interpretation of the code, which simplifies supervision of compliance.
The Port Facility Security Plan is produced within a limited period of time.
The user can modify the Action Plan and the Port Facility Security Plan immediately if any additional measures are taken.
Status overview of the Port Facility Security Plans in the ports.
In case of changes in, for example, legislation, the port authority can modify or expand the Toolkit easily.
